Josh Petty uses his music to express his need to be free. "Truth is not something that is sold.," says Petty in a recent interview, "Its something that you have to find, and once you find it you want to share it. You NEED to share it." Josh released "Copy Me! Help The Species Survive" in 2004 and "A Diagram To The Stars" in 2005. With both albums he wrote, arranged, recorded, produced, and performed all the music himself. "Indie is a revolution," he says. "Its been happening since music became the business it is today. But the internet has finally made it possible for small bands to reach large audiences. To hell with the labels and the corporations."
